Windows Live Messenger is the latest version of MSN Messenger, the popular instant messaging program from Microsoft. It has everything you already had MSN Messenger and adds some improvements in functionality and appearance. This new revision is not a version that brings dramatic new features, but rather a sort of cleansing of their appearance, after going through various stages - far more minimalist, now more modern, lighter now - not quite fit and showed some inconsistencies.
Version 8.5 of Windows Live Messenger offers a rather renewed it. This is not a radical change, but a new approach that recalls and any more, Windows Vista.
Apart from this, the other functions 'as usual' are the usual: contact list, emoticons, text messaging, voice and videoconferencing, sending files, shared folders.
